Tax season just got easier! Gutsy now features automated tax filing submission, streamlining your workflow and saving you valuable time.

On Gutsy, you will be able to submit your IR8A, A8A, A8B, and also the amendment file after submission.

Do make sure that you have payrolls generated before beginning you tax filing steps.

How to Generate, Edit, Delete, and Update IR8A File

  1. From the navigation bar, head to Tax Filing

  2. Choose the Year and click +IR8A

  3. Fill out the (1) Full name, (2) Designation, (3) Email, and (4) Phone Number under Authorized Submitting Personnel box.

    Then, (5) select the employees that you would like to generate IR8A file

    If you are submitting as a third party, make sure to click 'Submit tax as third party agent' checkbox

  4. Once all fields are filled in and employees are selected, click Submit

  5. To edit the IR8A file, go to SG Payroll > Tax Filing, click the '>' icon to view the IR8A file, then select Edit under the Employee Declaration section.

    You can also edit the Authorized Submitting Personnel here.

  6. To update the IR8A data based on the latest payslip, select the employee > click Update with new payroll data

  7. To delete IR8A file as a whole, click the delete button on your IR8A file

  8. And select the employee > click delete to remove several IR8A files for certain employees only.

Once the IR8A file has been created, you may proceed to generate the Appendix 8A (A8A) and Appendix 8B (A8B) files.

📝 Note: The IR8S form will be discontinued starting from Year of Assessment (YA) 2026. This update is part of the enhancements to Singapore’s tax reporting framework implemented by Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore.

How to Generate, Edit, and Delete A8A File

There are two ways to create A8A file; using Excel file and Automatic process through our system

To generate A8A using Excel:

  1. Go to SG Payroll > Tax Filing, click +A8A, select Upload Excel File, then download the provided template file.

  2. Fill in the file and upload it back into the system. The system will display a comparison between the Excel headers and the GUTSY headers for your review. Please ensure that both headers are correctly matched before submitting.

    The headers shown in the system will be based on the fields you have filled in within the Excel file.

  3. Click Preview to double-check your data. Once confirmed, click Update

    📝 Note: any benefits-in-kind data from the employee’s payslip will be overwritten with your Excel data

To generate A8A automatically through our system:

  1. Go to SG Payroll > Tax Filing, click +A8A > Click Select Employee > choose the employees to generate A8A.

  2. Click Submit once done

  3. To Edit A8A, select the employees > click Edit

  4. To Delete A8A file, you can either select the employees > click delete OR click delete on the top of the page to delete the whole A8A declaration


How to Generate, Edit, and Delete A8B File

  1. Go to SG Payroll > Tax Filing, click +A8B > Click the 'Download Excel Template'

  2. Once the Excel template downloaded, fill in the required information, then upload the file and match the Excel data with the corresponding fields in the system.

  3. You can click Preview before proceeding to check if there are any errors.

  4. Click Update to proceed with the A8B update.

  5. To edit the A8B file, go to the Tax Filing page, click the > icon, then select the three-dot icon to view or edit the file.

  6. To delete the A8B file:

    • For a single or multiple employees:
      Select (tick) the employee name(s), then click the bin icon at the top of the employee list.

    • To delete the entire file:
      Click the bin icon located on the right, next to the View Submission History section.


How to Validate and Submit Tax Filing

  1. Go to SG Payroll > Tax Filing > Click Validate

  2. You will be connected to Corppass and login to your account Corppass account

  3. Once Validated and Submitted, you can check the status on Declaration File or History


How to Generate Amendment Tax Filing File

On the Tax Filing page, scroll down to the Amendment File section and click +IR8A.

📝 Note: You can only create an amendment file after the declaration file(s) have been submitted.

You can also create amendments for A8A and A8B by clicking +A8A or +A8B under the Amendment File section.
