Deleting an Open Shift

A guide to help you permanently delete an open shift you no longer need.

If an open shift is no longer needed, you can remove it entirely. This guide will walk you through the steps to delete an open shift.

This article contains two methods on how to delete open shift:


Navigating to the Open Shift:

From the side navigation menu, select Shift Schedule. Here, you can view, create, and manage all shifts — including Open Shifts.


A. Single Delete

  • From the shift’s detail in the calendar view: Click the Open Shift slot > Click Delete.

B. Bulk Delete

  1. Tick the check box in the respective Open Shift slots

  2. Click the bin icon

✏️ Note: If you delete the shift from an employee’s row, the vacant slot will reopen for others to claim (if the shift hasn’t been closed yet) as shown below:
