Guide on how to create pay scheme details

Pay Scheme Details enable the configuration of various pay structures during the onboarding process of new employees.

Properly configuring the Pay Scheme template is crucial to:

  1. Make certain that a precise calculation of the employee's overtime pay on regular work days, non-work days, and holidays.

  2. Comply with the regulations outlined in the Employment Act mandated by the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore.

  3. Ensure that modules pertaining to the Pay Scheme can function according to their specific requirements.

Create Pay Scheme Details

  1. Head to Settings > Pay Scheme Details

  1. Click New Pay Scheme

Pay Scheme Details Creation

Write the Name > Choose Assign Company and Pay Scheme Country

Choose the pay scheme’s working hours

There will be 4 options:

  1. Fixed Working Days with Fixed Hours

  2. Fixed Working Days with Flexible Hours

  3. Shift

  4. Disable (will follow calendar days)

Fixed Working Days with Fixed Hours and Flexible Hours

  • Select the days > choose the category for the days that you have chosen

  • Adjust the Working Hours as follows:

From: the starting hour of the work

To: the ending hour of the work.

  • If the employee is supposed to work remotely during those days, tick Remote work

  • If you would like to add a Break duration, click New Break Duration, where you can choose whether you want it to be paid or unpaid

  • Please ensure to choose at least one working hours group as a default working day. Each day can only exist in one working day group

  • Click New Group if you would like to create a new working days group

Shift

Under the Shift planning pay scheme, you can set the Number of working days per week, the Number of hours required to work per week, and the Number of hours required to work per day.

Disable

Once clicked, you don’t need to set the days or hours in the Pay Scheme, as it automatically follows the calendar day

Overtime Policy

On condition that the pay scheme includes Overtime, click Overtime Policy

  • Enter the multiplier accordingly, which includes the one under Non-working days if needed

  • Choose the Holiday Group

  • Click Create once done
