In a company, managing daily tasks can be a lot for just one Admin. To make things easier, you can assign another employee as an Admin to help with HR, payroll, or other responsibilities. This guide will walk you through the steps to assign an employee as an Admin.
✏️Note: An Admin must first be onboarded as an Employee before being assigned. Follow this guide to learn how to onboard employees.
Steps to assign an employee as an Admin
Head to Admin Permission from the side navigation menu
Click Permission Management
Click +Assign
Select the employee(s)
To give an employee full Extended Permissions (covering all actions listed below), simply switch on “Give all extended permissions.”
Access permission template: This option allows the Admin to make changes to the template
Give admin permission to other employees: This option enables the Admin to grant admin rights, make edits or delete admin permissions of other employees
If you do not wish to grant all extended permissions, you can choose specific ones by selecting the checkboxes you need.
Next, you’ll find the Module Permission section, which includes the following options:
Description: Add a note or description for this specific Module Permission.
Import Template: If you’ve previously created a Permission Template, you can import it here to save time instead of setting everything up from scratch.
Give all module permissions on every company: Toggle on this option to grant the Admin full module permissions across all companies (if you have multiple company accounts).
Select Attendance and Shift Permission Type: Choose how permissions apply for Attendance and Shift Schedule modules:
i. Employee Group: Manage permissions based on employee groups.
ii. Outlet: Manage permissions based on outlet locations.
Displays all companies in tabs: If you have multiple company accounts, click any company tab to set up permissions individually.
Permission Checkboxes: Tick the boxes to assign specific permissions to the Admin.
Select All: Quickly selects all permissions within a module.
Deselect All: Quickly removes all selected permissions within a module.
Once you’re done setting up permissions, click Submit
Great job! You now know how to add an employee as an Admin, empowering them with the access they need to help manage your organisation more effectively.
