Granting Off in Lieu

Learn how to grant Off in Lieu entitlements to employees individually or in bulk.

Off in Lieu can be granted to employees either individually or through a mass assignment. This article will guide you through both methods and show you how to view, edit, or remove assigned entitlements.

A. Off in Lieu Individual Assignment

Use this method when you need to grant Off in Lieu to a specific employee.

  1. Go to Employees > All Employees

  2. Search for the employee’s name

  3. Click the three-dot icon and select View

  4. Head to the Entitlement tab and locate the Off in Lieu leave type

  5. Click the eye icon under the Adjustment section

  6. Click + Adjustment

  7. You will be directed to create a new leave adjustment. Fill in the following:

    a. No. of days to add: Enter the number of days to credit

    b. Remarks (optional): Add notes for reference (recommended)

    c. Start date: When the leave becomes available

    d. Expiry date (optional): Set a validity period if applicable

  8. Click Submit

  9. The leave will be successfully added to the employee’s entitlement


B. Off in Lieu Mass Assignment

Use this method when you need to grant Off in Lieu to multiple employees at the same time.

  1. Head to Leaves > Off in Lieu Assignment.

  2. Select the relevant Off in Lieu leave type.

    • If you have not created an Off in Lieu leave type yet, create one before proceeding.

  3. Enter the required information:

    a. Number of days

    b. Start date

    c. Expiry date

    d. Remarks

  4. Select the employee(s) who should receive the entitlement.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Review the assignment details on the preview page.

  7. Click Assign to complete the process.


C. View, Edit, or Remove Off in Lieu Entitlements

After assigning Off in Lieu, you can review, edit, or remove the entitlement from the employee profile.

From the Entitlements Tab

  1. Head to Employees > Open the employee's profile.

  2. Select the Entitlements tab and locate the adjustment under the Adjustment column.

  3. Click the View (eye) icon to review the entitlement details.

  4. If required, use the Edit or Delete option to update or remove the entitlement.

    Note: You can only delete leave adjustments that have not been used in a leave application. Adjustments linked to a leave application cannot be deleted.

From the Leave Summary

  1. Head to Employees > Open the employee's profile.

  2. Select the Entitlements tab.

  3. Select Leave Summary. Ensure the correct leave year is selected.

  4. Locate the Off in Lieu adjustment to view its details and remarks.

  5. Use the available Edit or Delete option to make changes or remove the entitlement.

    Note: You can only delete leave adjustments that have not been used in a leave application. Adjustments linked to a leave application cannot be deleted.
