Understanding the key sections within the Attendance module

This article will walk you through the key features of the Attendance module, showing you what to look for and how the information is displayed—so you can use it with confidence.

  • Overview of the employee’s attendance:
    On this page, you can access detailed attendance records, including the following:

a. Magnifier icon to search for specific employees:

Click the magnifier icon to search by employee name.

b. Create New Attendance:
Follow the guide here for detailed steps on how to create new attendance.

c. Three dots icon next to ‘Create New Attendance’ (Attendance Settings):
Follow the guide here for further details on attendance settings

d. GMT: Displays the GMT time according to the settings defined in the company details.

e. Approve/Deny: Approve or reject the attendance record.

f. Mark as Paid: Mark the attendance as paid.

g. Delete: Remove the attendance record.

h. Recalculate Data: Update calculations if there are backdated salary changes.

i. Three dots icon on each attendance record:

Use this to view, edit, or delete specific attendance entries.

j. View Absent Employees:

This section shows employees (those paid based on attendance with Attendance enabled) who haven’t clocked in for the day. You can also adjust the date or search for a different day.

k. Checkboxes to select employees:

Select some or all employees to take actions like approve, deny, mark as paid, delete, or recalculate (especially after backdated salary changes).

l. Next button:

Click this to move to the next page of attendance records. You can also choose how many entries are displayed per page (10, 20, or 30).
